Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Infiniti QX60- Video
Hey everyone, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Trailer Wiring Harness here on a 2018 Infiniti QX60. So your trailer wiring harness is gonna be one of the few things that we need in order to successfully tow a trailer here with our QX60. In addition to this, we're gonna need a trailer hitch and a ball mount slash hitch ball. All of which we carry here at etrailer. Now the wiring harness is simply put is gonna allow us to transfer these signals from the vehicle to the trailer so we can let other motors out in the road know what signals we're gonna be making because a lot of times our lights are actually gonna block our vehicle lights. So we need a way to transfer the lights from the vehicle to the trailer so we can arrive to our destination safe and sound. more

I want to walk through how to install the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector. The 4-pole connector is gonna give us all of our proper lighting functions when we're pulling a trailer, so that we're legal and safe. Brake signals, turn signals, and our running lights. Gonna come with a dust cap, so when we're not using it, simply turn it, install it on the end, and it'll keep any dirt and debris from getting stuck on your connections. more

This four pole flat connector is going to provide you with all the necessary lighting for your trailer. This includes your left turn, right turn, brake lamp, and tail lamp signals. This system's going to tie right into your factory wiring, allowing you to get your four pole back here without having to tap into anything or modify the vehicle. If you need to get lights back on your trailer or your cargo carrier, this is going to be a nice, quick, easy option to get that going on for you.We'll start our installation in the back of the vehicle, in our cargo area here. They're gonna install the same, using factory connectors inside the vehicle, and we'll have a few relays that we'll have to put in place to finish the connection from the factory wiring.And then on the outside of the vehicle, our connector will be plugged in to another factory plug, and with our four-way connector, we are gonna have to ground out to the chassy. Now the seven way is gonna connect the same way, with the same relays on the inside of the vehicle, however, when we make our connection on the outside, our seven-way is gonna be getting a ground from another factory connector underneath the bumper.Now if you need both the four-pull and seven-pull connector, you have several different trailers, or if you just like having the option of having both on your Infinity, there is an option to where if we can get our seven-way kit, and it provides us with the wires, we do have adapters that'll give you a connector with both of them on there. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Infiniti QX60, we're going to be taking a look at, showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Pole Flat Trailer Connector. That's going to be part number 118670. Here's what our wiring is going to look like once we have it installed. It is going to live on the outside of the vehicle at all times, and I do want to mention that the bracket that we have it mounted to is sold separately.Our wiring is going to provide us with all of our lighting functions necessary to safely get down the road, such as our taillights, turn signals, and our stoplights. As far as the installation goes, it is going to be a plug and play installation. There's no cutting or splicing into our factory wiring. more
